Adorable Magnetic Calendars!!

With it being January and the beginning of a new year, I set out to find some cute calendar inspiration. I was so excited when I came across this!!!

I am so in love with this calendar!!! Jenn from Clean & Scentsible has several bEaUtifuL themed monthly calendars along with a tutorial. Oh how I wish I had a craft store here on the island!!! I had my husband make me a calendar similar to this when we lived in North Pole and I had good intentions of doing something like this, but we moved before it could happen. Needless to say...I still haven't unpacked it!! But when I do....you can bet Miss Jenn will have LOTS of visits to her blog from ME!

Make Up Tutorials from "Makeup Geek"

I must admit {shamelessly hiding my head} ...unfortunately my style is stuck in about 1997. I am one of those frumpy moms you see on Oprah who's in need of a good makeover. I guess living in small town Alaska doesn't help my situation either. Where I can go to the store in my pajamas and not get a second glance.
I soooo badly want to change, but I don't know how. My body type is strange (I kinda look like humpty dumpty.... a big mid section, with itty bitty skinny legs) and it's hard to find anything to flatter my figure. I have naturally curly hair that takes hours to straighten, so I feel my hair style never changes. And make up? Where do I begin?
Luckily I've seen some fabulous tutorials on you tube and other websites that have been posting great video tutorials on how to apply make up, or make it look like your favorite Hollywood Star, etc.
I found MAKEUP GEEK who posts such tutorials. Go on and have a look! One day I will be able to afford all this makeup and look like a gazillion bucks. But as for now..a girl can dream!

I LOVE Grace Violet. When I first start my blog a few years ago (I believe in 2007), I remember Grace Violet was one of the first crafty blogs out there. I was so inspired by her, and still am today. She dabbles in a little bit of this and a little bit of that...I LOVE it!

Long Distance Date With Grandma

I am in LOVE with the "Long distance date" idea from "How Does She".

What a sweet way to let your children interact with Grandparents. We live all the way in North Pole, Alaska while the rest of our family members live in Utah. Although the miles are many, we feel fortunate to have ACN phones in which we can communicate and see them. Hopefully we'll be able to see them in person soon. But in the meantime, I think this is a great idea!
